Beethoven, Brahms, and Martinů
Liza Ferschtman and Benjamin Hochman tour Europe with emerging artists from Curtis in May 2026.
Violinist Liza Ferschtman (‘00), known for her “laserlike intensity, purity, and refined beauty of playing” (New York Times), and pianist Benjamin Hochman (‘01), celebrated for his “elegant, polished, and heartfelt” playing (Boston Globe), lead a piano quintet ensemble with emerging artists from Curtis Institute of Music. The program will begin with Bohuslav Martinů’s exuberant Three Madrigals and Beethoven’s “Ghost” piano trio, and close with Brahms‘ masterful Piano Quintet in F minor.
